Using your E.B.R.A.I.N.S and H.E.A.R.T
Navigating maternity pathways can be challenging and tricky. For most, pregnancy is the first time in their adult lives that they in a hospital setting. Maternity services provided, such as antenatal classes, can vary quite a lot depending on where you are located, and for the most part sexual education at school’s main focus seemed to be on the avoidance of pregnancy (at all costs!).
We are therefore left understandably, naive to the science, art and ultimately spiritual knowledge of birth and preparation. However, even as naive to pregnancy and birth one might be, parents will want and strive to make the best decisions for themselves and their baby. Google can help, but can also lead to greater anxiety.
Using a systematic approach to making decisions can help reassure you, educate you and ultimately empower you. It helps remove outside biased views and help you come to decision that feels and is best for you and your baby.
